Frederiksdal Rancio Bundle 2 Bots X 500ml
Rancio is Frederiksdal's signature wine. The cherry wine is aged outside in glass bottles for a minimum of two years.
Regardless of the weather (frost, rain, sun and wind), the wine is left under the open sky and gets the taste of the Lolland nature before the wine is aged in French cognac barrels inside the winery for another couple of years.
Rancio' means 'rancid' in Spanish and refers to the production method – a method that has been used in Madeira, Porto, and in Banyules and Maury for centuries.
The taste is intense and with a wide range of flavor notes, such as figs, prunes, nuts, coffee and of course cherries.
Serve chilled
Once opened, the wine will keep for a few weeks, as long as it is stored at a consistent temperature.

Perfect with chocolate, nuts, figs and prunes, blue cheese or other rich cheeses, roast or terrine of foie gras or ordinary bird liver, preferably with a slightly sweet accompaniment. It can also match heavy game dishes of hare or animals. Enjoy it on its own and experience the many nuances of the wine. Rancio is a great experience in itself. If it is allowed to age, it will develop beautifully for many, many years to come.
